new maya same troubles

Hello everyone below is today's task or a screenshot of it. For some reason Maya refuses to render my image it keeps coming up with the following

Rendering using 4 threads.

parse error

That's one massive error basically it's telling me that every single letter shape is an invalid object and refuses to render it. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Anyway this is today's blog post and the picture is below as well.

  1. Jack Jack Jack. Where your mind at? I knew I saw your eyes go like Totoro in the rain.

Use your blog for good, not evil. I don't think I have ever seen a post made up of a Maya error message of such biblical proportions on any other animation student blog. You are trail blazing here.

But you know something, the more I stare at it, the words of Maya, the more I convince myself that I can see the face of Brad Bird forming on the screen.

Your brain wiring is unique (and powerful). It can only lead to potentially amazing animation results.

I wonder what your next post will be.

Good work :) (on the picture)

Oh, and I would say that it seems you may have left over bits of 'Squirrely" (they'll never find the body) and other character rig junk, still affecting your Maya file. Not your fault but now your responsibility. Use the outliner to clear it all out. Don't forget to get rid of extra lights and cameras as well. I think Blake has a tendency to sneak in with his pitchfork and suddenly appear. So watch out for him. The 'S's are due to people having explored and used the soft deform tool. You'll need to collect them all on to a layer that you can then turn off the visibility to make them disappear. Clean up the Layers panel while you're at it. Copy the texture files you need for the 'i', 'a' and 't', into your project folder "sourceimages" fold and Uncle's your aunty.

Oh, if you check your email, the instructions today were for a minimum of two views of your 'Animation' environment build.

Nice staging of the letter elements. There is a pleasing interaction in the shapes.
